I am so excited to share my historical novel with you! By offering this historical novel to you, I break through an impasse. Because, as absolutely thrilled as I am to share with you my 1960s story — about parallel lives, the power of communication, and the redemptive fire of love set against a time of cataclysmic change — I’m also filled with more than a little trepidation.

The book took more than twelve years to write. Just as long and much harder has been to accept the idea of you and others reading the story, let go, and publish it.

I’m not taking myself too seriously — literary sensation, NY Times bestseller, Amazon bestseller, Pulitzer Prize, huge advance. In truth, I simply want my novels (all 5 of them stuck in computer files) out there. Readers will read them. Or not. Readers will like them. Or not. The point is, I feel a responsibility to the muse to set the novels free. And, in so doing, free myself up, too.
